Alex Early is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Bedford, known for his acoustic, popular style music. Alex is influenced by a wide range of music such as Soul, Rock, Hip-Hop and Pop that is apparent in his set as he adds his own twist to popular songs.
From a young age Alex sought any opportunity to perform, especially in front of his peers at school. His earliest performance was at the age of 10 when he performed at a wedding reception on a boat on the Thames. By 15, Alex started appearing at open mic nights around his hometown where he started gaining notoriety that led to gigs further afield.
Some of his most notable performances were at the Folk on the Dock Festival in Liverpool, and performing in 2015 and twice in 2017 at Bugjam Festival at Santapod. During his time at college, Alex was chosen as the headlining act to perform at Bedford’s Corn Exchange for the University Graduation Ceremony in front of over 800 people. In 2016 Alex started performing at venues in London including The Bedford in Balham that has hosted artists such as James Morrison, Paolo Nutini and Ed Sheeran who influenced him growing up.
From 15 years old, Alex started writing and performing his own material to make his act distinguishable. Being an avid songwriter, he writes about everyday events that the listener can easily relate and engage with.
In June 2018, Alex released his 2nd EP, titled Thinking About You which he recorded at Sticky Studios. He continues to entertain with his distinct voice at popular music venues.
